Bnez.

POS with inventory management

Connect what you sell to what you have left.

Count ready-to-sell items, connect drinks and dishes to their ingredients, and record deliveries in Bnez. Checkout and stock work together, giving you a clearer view before the next supplier run.

One connected workflow

From delivery to the next sale.

Receive what arrives

Add deliveries to your supply counts. Record pack sizes and prices, organise supplies by category, and find the item you need with search and filters.

Link stock to checkout

A recorded sale reduces counted product stock or uses the ingredient quantities in its configured recipe. Different sizes can use different amounts, and configured add-ons can have their own ingredients.

Review what needs attention

Set product alert points and a buy-soon window for supplies. Use recorded usage, or your entered daily-use estimate when there is not enough history, to understand how long supplies may last.

Recipes and item costs

Buy in packs. Prepare in portions.

Record milk in litres and a drink recipe in millilitres, or buy beans by the kilogram and measure a shot in grams. Bnez converts compatible units and uses each size’s configured quantities.

When all recipe ingredients have pack prices, Bnez can work out the item’s ingredient cost. You can also keep your own entered item cost. Updated supply prices affect calculated costs for future sales; earlier sales keep their recorded costs.

Add cups, lids or other packaging to a recipe when you want them counted with each sale.

A useful stock history

See where supplies went.

The usage log separates deliveries, manual use and recipe use. Recipe entries link to the recorded sale, while delivery and manual-use entries show who recorded them.

Record spillage, staff use and other movements that did not go through checkout. Compare the recorded counts with physical checks so the next restocking decision starts with better information.

Owners can also view the recorded value of priced supplies. Unpriced supplies are identified separately; this view covers supplies, rather than the value of everything in the business.

Questions before setup

Choose the right stock workflow.

Do we have to set up recipes to use Bnez?
No. You can use counted products and manage supplies without recipes. Add recipe tracking when you want a sale to deduct specific ingredient quantities automatically.
When does an open tab use stock?
Stock is deducted when the tab is paid. Adding an unpaid order does not reserve its items or ingredients. If prepared food is cancelled before payment, record the ingredients used manually.
Are stock counts shared during an internet outage?
An offline till works with its saved information and its own recorded activity. Other devices receive the sale after it syncs, so coordinate scarce stock with the team during an outage. Read how offline checkout works.
Will low-stock alerts replace a physical stock count?
No. Alerts use recorded quantities and usage. Keep recipes, deliveries and manual use up to date, and check physical stock regularly to account for spills, portion differences or missing entries.
Can add-ons change which ingredients are used?
An add-on can use its own configured ingredients in addition to the base recipe. For a substitution, such as changing the milk in a drink, set up the appropriate item option and recipe so both milks are not deducted.
